You’re Invited to

Christmas Eve

At Missional Church

You and your whole family are invited to celebrate Christmas Eve this year at Missional Church!

We offer multiple service times for you to attend in person or watch online. Whether you’ve been a churchgoer your whole life, or you’re just starting out in your faith journey, we created a Christmas Eve celebration just for you!

Why We Celebrate Christmas

It’s easy to feel like a Grinch around the holidays. We feel stressed spending money we may not have on things we may not like for people we sometimes find challenging to be around. It’s easy to get caught up in the “trimmings and the trappings” of the holiday. Just like the Grinch, we sometimes wonder if there’s a deeper meaning to Christmas – we want for it to mean so much more.

And the good news is, the Bible tells us it does!

Christmas is about God’s Great Love.

The Bible tells the story of God’s great love for people. Out of his unimaginable love for us, God offered a bright new world to men and women. Unfortunately, they chose to turn away from God and darkness crept into the soul of every human. This darkness is passed from parent to child like an inherited gene. We see evidence of it on the news every single night.

Instead of giving up on people, God delivered good news!

The good news is that God has a plan. He sacrificed his own Son for the world as a beacon of hope. Jesus is God’s Son, sent into the world to pave the way for every single person on earth to experience new life. Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus.

This is the story of Christmas — the birth of Jesus Christ

What to Expect

Arriving at Missional Church

When you arrive at Missional Church for our Christmas Eve services, volunteers help you find where to park. When you enter the building, there are signs showing you to the “main service.” If you have kids, you’ll also find bright signs pointing you to Missional Kids. Once you enter the main service area, feel free to sit wherever you’d like.

Service

  • The service lasts about 60 minutes

The church service begins with about 20 minutes of music from our live band. The words of the songs are shown on large screens. Many people sing along, so feel free to participate if you feel comfortable.

One of our leaders then shares a Christmas lesson from the Bible.

At some point, we take an offering of financial gifts. This offering is for those who call Missional Church their home. As our guest, you’re not expected to give any money. If you want to make a donation, that decision is totally up to you.

We are blessed with many opportunities to serve the needs in our community. It is through the generous giving of our church members that we meet those needs.

We always prepare a few unique elements at Christmas Eve services, like special songs or skits.

We can’t wait for you to see what we have planned this year!

What about my kids?

Your children are welcome to join you in the service. However, we also offer programs during the service for kids from birth through 5th grade. Simply follow the signs for Missional Kids to register your children. When you check in, you’re asked to fill out some information so we have a way to contact you in the unlikely event you are needed during the service. This also ensures a secure drop-off and pickup procedure for the safety of our children.
